ކުޑައިރުގެ ލަވައަކުން ލޯބީގެ ހަގީގީ މާނަ ދަސްވި ދުވަސް

   މިއަދު އަޅުގަނޑު މަތިންދާބޯޓެއްގައި ދަތުރުކުރަމުން ދަނިކޮށް، ކުޑައިރުގެ ހަނދާންތަކާ ގުޅިފައިވާ ލަވަޔެއް ކަމަށްވާ "ހަމޭ ތުމްސޭ ޕިޔާރު ކިތުނާ" އަޑުއަހަން ފެށީމެވެ. މިއީ މަންމަ ވަރަށް ގިނައިން ޖަހާ އުޅުނު ލަވަޔެކެވެ. ކުޑައިރު މި ލަވަ އެތައް ފަހަރަކު އަޑުއިވުނު ހަނދާން ހުރެއެވެ. އޭގެ ރާގު އަޅުގަނޑަށް އެނގެއެވެ. މަންމަ އެ ލަވަޔާ އެކު ކިޔާލާއިރު ހުންނަ އަޑުގެ ފޮނިކަން އަދިވެސް ހަނދާން އެބަހުއްޓެވެ. އެ ލަވައިގައި އަސަރުގަދަ ކަމެއް ހުރިކަން އެނގުނު ނަމަވެސް، އޭގެ ހަގީގީ މާނައެއް އޭރަކު ނޭނގެއެވެ. ކުޑަކުދިންނަށް ބަސްތައް އިވުނު ކަމުގައި ވިޔަސް، އެ ބަސްތަކުގެ ފަހަތުގައިވާ އިހުސާސްތައް ދެނެގަތުމުގެ ތަޖުރިބާއެއް އެ އުމުރަކު ނުހުރެއެވެ. ނަމަވެސް މިއަދު ތަފާތެވެ. އެ ލަވައިގެ ކޮންމެ ބަހެއް އަލުން އަޑުއަހަމުން ދިޔައިރު، ކުއްލިއަކަށް ހުރިހާ އެއްޗެއް ވިސްނެން ފެށިއެވެ. އެ ލަވަކިޔުންތެރިޔާ ބަޔާންކޮށްދޭން އެ އުޅޭ އިހުސާސްތައް އަޅުގަނޑަށް އިހުސާސް ކުރެވުނެވެ. އެއީ ހަމައެކަނި އަހަރެމެން އާންމުކޮށް މި ބޭނުންކުރާ "ލޯބި" އެކަންޏެއް ނޫނެވެ. އެއީ ބަސްތަކުން ބަޔާންކޮށްދޭން ދަތި، އިންތިހާ ދަ...

When a Childhood Song Finally Taught Me What Love Means

Today, while I was flying, I started listening to a song from my childhood,  Humein Tumse Pyaar Kitna . My mother used to play this song a lot, and I remember hearing it many times when I was young. I knew the melody. I knew the sound of her voice when she sang along with it. I knew that there was something emotional about the song, but I never really understood what it meant. As a child, we hear words, but we do not always have the life experience to understand the emotions behind them. Today was different. As I listened to the words again, something suddenly clicked. I understood what the singer was trying to express. It was not simply love in the way we casually use the word. It was an expression of a depth of love that almost becomes impossible to explain through language. There are feelings so deep that words become inadequate.
